Common malpolon monspessulanus is colubridae family and is one of the largest snakes in Europe, adult length is 2 meters. Appearance reptile emphasizes its aggressive nature. Smooth scales, pronounced eyes and large overhanging crest above them, give snakes a very aggressive look. Colour trunk monophonic, but there are several color options: gray, black, brown and reddish.

Malpolon monspessulanus prevalent in Italy, southern France and South – West Asia, Portugal, as well as on the Balkan Peninsula. Habitat malpolon – marshes, open dry areas, bushes, hills, slopes, etc.

The diet of this species consists of: small mammals, snakes, lizards and small chicks. It refers to the egg-laying.
