Nemophila is uncommon in Russia. It is native to North America, so it is also called the American me-nots.
Nemophila – ground cover, annual. Flowers in diameter from 2 to 4 cm – white, blue, blue, purple. The height can be from 5 to 30 cm. Nemophila blooms from June to October.
Nemofily seeds sown in the ground in late March – early April, when the likelihood of severe frost has passed. Very light frost, it will stand.
Nemophila unpretentious and can grow on poor soils. It tolerates partial shade and does not like high temperatures, because of them it may even die. To avoid this, in very hot weather should be watered nemofilu, and the roots of a better shelter layer of mulch, there to remain cool.
For continuous carpet of nemofily, it planted at a distance of 10-20 cm from each other. It is perfect for edging beds. Flower blends with other annuals, so well suited for the preparation of various compositions. Flower nemophila just looks nice in hanging baskets and containers.
