Sowing the seeds of cucumbers

For a generous and early harvest of cucumbers before planting need to do these procedures: leave the seeds in a warm oven (or drier) for two hours, indicating the temperature of – 60 degrees. Then it is necessary to treat the seed with a pesticide Thiram (TMTD) at a ratio of 4 kg per 1 kg of the cucumber seeds. Bad weather conditions at planting seeds often are the cause of such pests as the sprout fly. To avoid damage to the crop seeds must be treated or fentiuramom-molybdate (containing the second required for different legumes substance) per 5 g per 1 kg of seed. Prior to treatment, be sure to moisten the seeds starch paste.

A good harvest is promised to you, if you sow the seeds immediately after plowing the land and be sure to wet the soil to a depth of four centimeters. It is also necessary to observe the distance between the sown seeds: approximately half a meter when the member method (after thinning – 6-7 cm), for long varieties – 70 cm (after thinning – 10-12 cm). If you use a square-cluster method of sowing, in one nest will remain 5-6 plant varieties or whiling away long 4-5 plants.

If the land is a little clay, in order to avoid yield losses, it is necessary to mulch the soil with humus or peat into the ranks of the width of about six centimeters, but you should make sure that there were no weed seeds.
