The adult beetle are painted in green or dark blue color with a light metal shade. They are during the winter closer to the surface, under the fallen leaves, where they are in safety. Around the beginning of May, Attelabidae go out from their safe place and begins to eat the kidney, and then – small, green leaves of the fruit trees.

During the protection of fruit trees against pests we can reduce the population of Attelabidae. You should see the leaves on the tree and to destroy all leaves that are rolled into a tube, there are the Attelabidae. It will be less the number of the beetle after loosening the soil around the fruit tree, it will be better a depth of about 10 cm. We recommend to do the loosening in early August, when the beetle begins to pupate. And in the autumn, in October, you have to do the mulching with the layer about 7 cm.
