The origin of the sheep Awassi sheep take a distant Syrian space, poor and dry. Thanks to adapt to survive in extreme conditions, the breed began to actively spread throughout Asia. The original name of the breed – Syrian sheep, but it is not as common as the Awassi sheep, or baladi. This breed is still actively cultivated in arid countries of Central Asia.
Awassi sheep of medium size with a rounded trunk, hanging ears and long limbs brown. Wool is thick, medium length, used for the manufacture of woolen products. Color may be different: light, dark, brown-red.
Awassi sheep also grow sheep for meat production nutrient. In hot, obedient regions – is the surest way to soak. But the most valuable thing you can get from the sheep – this milk. In areas where there are practically no water, Awassi sheep produce a fairly large quantity of milk, a lot more than some of the dairy breeds of sheep from latitudes with good climatic conditions.
