The name of the Rhine breed geese (goose German) of like the place of their origin. And it was created in the vicinity of Germany, which stands on the River Rhine. In the early 70-ies of the last century, Rhine geese started to deliver the post-Soviet space, where they began to breed in large and small farming.
Breed moderate type. Body Building compact and slightly elongated. The head is small and round. Neck moderately thick, passing in the chest. The limbs are short, bright orange, like a beak.
Mature geese reach a weight of 5-7 kg. Two-month goslings building up to 4 kg of live weight. Matures youngsters under the age of 1 year, at this age the goose is already beginning to lay eggs and to prepare for the egg. On average, for a series of young Rhine goose produces 50 eggs. Only 65% of the goslings hatch from these eggs, but safety is quite high and is 95%.
